TEN FEET HIGH - June
86 competitors or so i hear... which makes this comp the biggest in the country. And it doesn't stop there, this year saw the largest turnout for the following categories; 13 female riders, 17 pros, and 27 rookies.
CK once again dominated the pro event, with DC and Si Chapell taking 2nd and 3rd respectably. For full details see the sheffield cable ski website.
TEN FEET HIGH always delivers on many levels, great turnouts, awesome atmosphere, personal achievements, and a genius after party! bongo bongo... The event is open to all spectators and competitors and is situated on one of the sickest cable parks in the country.
Next event is the 18th July. Get involved!
Student Nationals 2009

WMSKI Summer Open Day
Set up and ready to go!
Free wakeboarding, Free kit demos, Free buk wristbands.... what more would you want??
It was a great day/evening with an awesome turnout. Lots of new faces and wall to wall discounts, from wakeboarding membership to buk stuff.
Thanks to the WMSKI crew for running a seamless event.
Sorry about the lack of actual 'wakeboarding' pics but i was manning the shop all day!! ....work work work work....
Epic Flex - Board Test 1
Well our first flex wakeboard floats!!
On a basic lap, the board felt slippy in the corners with the lack of fins, but also felt smooth and stable. On the rails, it was awesome! Nose press all the way baby! However, it didn't feel as slippy as a normal board, which is probably due to the unwaxed base material. So a few small mods, and off to board test 2!
If you would like a Epic Flex custom board for yourself, please contact me. As are playing, we can sort out a super cheap price, after all, the more we build the better we will be. Plus, if the custom board breaks, we'll just build you a new one for free!! ...hows about that for a guarantee!

BUK No. 1 - EPIC FLEX
BUK's first wakeboard.....
With the intention of building an indestructible ultimate cable park wakeboard which makes nose-press rail sliding the future, we are one step closer... or further away depending on how testing goes!!
We will be testing next week, either at Sheffield cable park or WMSKI in cirencester. Fingers crossed!

TEN FEET HIGH - report
Wind, waves, rain, cloud.... not ideal for a cable wakeboarding comp! But the riders braved the nordic conditions and shredded once again!

In the ladies, Sophie Corderoy stood tallest, with BUK's Ellie Taylor in close second. Inters saw a mixed bag, but a seamless run from Tom taylor, with a bel air to finish saw him on the podium. Jamie Smith took inters top spot. The rookies event had 22 riders, which is a great sign of things to come for cable in the UK. Local rookie, Tom Bowles took first place.

BUK's Ellie Taylor claiming second
